An obsessed scientist drives to maneuver his space craft directly into a black hole in hopes of discovering the secrets of the Universe. This special-effects-driven science-fiction film focuses on. Like the Black Cauldron this film goes a bit dark for Disney, and the Dante like ending actually ends on an upbeat, but is somewhat hokey in spots.

I mean that it was predictable for me because it involved things like space ships, robots, lots of technology that the author must explain to the reader, and a large chunk of the story being devoted completely to these and other complex explanations. With all those older---and there will be newer---movies with the same title, buy this BLACK HOLE only if you have two hours' of spare time. Repeat: this is NOT a disaster movie, though the movie---itself---MAY be a disaster if you can't/won't follow along.
